• Key Responsibilities
    • Create and maintain real-time VFX in Unreal Engine 5, including atmospheric effects, environment effects (fog, dust, rain, snow), magic/energy effects, destruction, impacts, trails, UI/FX, camera effects and post-processing effects where required.
    • Design and implement effect systems using Niagara: emitters, systems, modules, events, GPU/CPU simulations, and interaction with the environment and characters.
    • Create shader/material-based VFX: masks, distortion, flipbooks, decals, world-aligned effects, procedural materials, and shader optimization.
    • Configure LOD and scalability settings, profile and optimize effects (memory usage, overdraw, translucency, GPU cost, tick cost).
    • Integrate VFX into gameplay and scenes: working with Blueprints, parameters, Material Parameter Collections, Sequencer, triggers and timing.
    • Maintain visual quality and consistency of effects across different platforms and quality settings, document and maintain the FX library.
    • Use AI-based tools to optimize workflows and significantly accelerate content creation.
  • Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience as a VFX Artist or Technical VFX Artist in real-time environments
    • Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and extensive hands-on experience with Niagara (including GPU particles)
    • Strong knowledge of UE materials and shaders for VFX: masks, noise, UV animation, distortion, dissolves/disintegration effects, flipbooks, decals
    • Solid understanding of rendering and optimization: overdraw, transparency sorting, post-process behavior, lighting/exposure, Nanite and Lumen in the context of VFX
    • Experience working with DCC tools and textures: Blender (or similar), Photoshop; ability to create atlases, flipbooks, masks, normals and noise textures
    • Experience creating supporting simulations/content: smoke, dust, debris, particles, simple fluids/splashes in real-time environments using Niagara or materials
    • Ability to work from technical briefs, integrate into production pipelines, estimate timelines and maintain production-quality content
    • Understanding of visual storytelling and effect staging (timing, silhouette, readability, scale, color and contrast)
    • Advanced knowledge of Niagara VFX systems and practical experience creating stylized or realistic effects
    • Experience with particle simulations (fluids, cloth, dust, debris, etc.)
    • Fluent Russian
  • Nice to Have
    • Experience in virtual production pipelines: Sequencer, camera-based FX, working with filming/compositing requirements, chroma key / green screen workflows
    • Experience with Houdini (procedural VFX), EmberGen, Phoenix, RealFlow or similar tools; flipbook generation workflows (volume → sprite sheets)
    • Experience creating Niagara Modules, writing HLSL in Niagara or custom HLSL shaders in materials
    • Understanding of color pipelines (ACES / tone mapping) and color calibration for LED stages or compositing workflows
    • Motion design / graphics experience (UI effects, animated graphics, titles)
    • Experience with version control systems (Perforce / Git) and collaborative production environments
    • Experience working on AAA or live-ops projects, including content maintenance, rapid iteration, regression control and performance constraints
